How do I get a DBS?

All volunteers who regularly attend a group (more than once a month), or participate in residential activities, are required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service Disclosure, and become a full member of Woodcraft Folk. DBS forms can be completed online at woodcraft.org.uk/dbs-online

Please complete membership before applying for a DBS online.

Once an applicant has completed their online form they will need to take their ID along to their Membership Secretary to be witnessed and their application verified online. It can take a few weeks for the Disclosure and Barring Service to process your online application, so it's best to complete it as early as possible, especially if you're planning to be the responsible adult at a Woodcraft Folk event.

If you're a new group, we will link you up with a near by district Membership secretary who will verify your documents.

For more information about Woodcraft Folk screening procedures and the role of Membership Secretaries please visit www.woodcraft.org.uk/membership-secretary.
