Members from across the UK gathered at Leeds for our second Folk Assembly. The weekend was a great hit with everyone involved and we’ve seen a lot of brilliant feedback. A special thanks goes out to Leeds for hosting and entertaining us so well. And we would also like to thank all those volunteers who put on workshops, ran the kitchen and provided a great menu and those who ran the creche and children's programme.

The prize was won by Nina and Rudy who, in the proper spirit of Woodcraft, shared it with friends at the Assembly.

Thanks to our successful track record of developing new groups, Woodcraft Folk has secured a significant grant to help us reach new communities in the Eastern Region, focusing on the counties of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

This funding is to work with young people aged between 10 and 20, so we will be looking to start up new Pioneer, Venturer and DF groups in our target communities, which include Cambridge, Peterborough, King's Lynn, Great Yarmouth, Thetford, Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, St Neots and Lowestoft.
