Have you been involved for a while but want to learn more? 

Our New Leader Training weekends are a great way to learn more about Woodcraft Folk, share ideas with new leaders from across the UK, and a gain the skills and confidence to lead engaging activities for children. 

People who come to our training sessions say they feel more confident and more able to lead activities at group. 

London Venturer Activity Weekend at Phasels Wood

At the end of September, 80 Venturers from London and surrounding areas had a great weekend at the Phasels Wood Activity Centre near Kings Langley. It was the first time that we used this site which came with the challenge of Venturers (and some of their leaders) sleeping in three different residential buildings. In good Woodcraft fashion we assigned clans to cooking duties and managed to feed everybody well in two locations. The dorms were small with beds for 4 or 6 and most of them had a small en-suite bathroom!

Waveney Valley Woodies enjoy the benefits of volunteering

Waveney Valley Folk have enjoyed a great summer, adding volunteering into their plan alongside the usual games, crafts and outdoor activities.

Volunteering activities have included visiting and entertaining residents at a local residential home and litter picking on Dunwich beach with equipment supplied by Surfers Against Sewage. Louisa Yallop says,

Two Exciting pieces of DF news

1) In 2020, Woodcraft is hosting a huge international IFM - SEI camp with people from all over the world! It is organised by a board of people including one DF rep.
