As many of you will know, Height Gate is one of the Woodcraft Folk’s residential centres, a 17th century former farmhouse, set in stunning scenery high up in the beautiful South Pennines near Hebden Bridge.

It offers simple (unstaffed) affordable accommodation plus a small campsite for groups of up to thirty. (www.heightgate.org.uk). Height Gate has developed a range of renewable technologies that can be seen in action – biomass wood pellet stoves, solar panels and moving 'real-time' display, coppice woodland and a low-flush Aquatron sewerage system (OK, maybe the latter is a little less visible!)

Height Gate’s Management Committee is conscious that some Woodcraft Folk groups may not have visited for some years, or indeed at all. To promote uptake, we are therefore offering ANY Woodcraft Group a 10% discount on Height Gate’s published prices (which are £85 per night Monday-Thursday, £110 per night Friday and Saturday and £135 for Saturday only) on your next visit. This is obviously restricted to one visit per group.
