IFM-SEI launch Rainbow Resources on Gender and Sexuality for Elfin and Pionners

We are pleased to announce that the latest IFM-SEI publication has been launched today. Rainbow Resources is a guide to activities for children (Elfin and Pioneers) on Gender and Sexuality. It is a fun look at these issues with the activities being tried, tested and adapted from Co-Camp and other workshops this year.

The year long project has been written by leaders from around the world including three people from the Woodcraft Folk.

This resource compiles the work of the International Falcon Movement – Socialist Educational International (IFM-SEI) and the Queer Easter team of the Kurt Löwenstein House over the past three years.

In recent years we became increasingly concerned that there were very few resources relating to children on gender and sexuality. In our Human Rights Education with children we extensively use the Council of Europe Manual Compasito, but even in this otherwise very useful publication methods on gender and sexuality are missing. To fill this gap, we have run workshops, seminars and camps for educators and young people to develop the resources that you are now holding in your hands. While a core team of eight people from the UK, Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, Slovenia and Austria have led this work, it is the combination of many hours of research, work and fun with hundreds of children and educators around Europe for which we are thankful. We would have been unable to create his handbook without them.
