Camping & Outdoor Adventure Survey Results

Published on Friday July 03 2009

This online Survey aimed to gage the importance of both camping and other outdoor activities to Woodcraft Folk members. The survey was visited by 178 members drawn from 76 districts across the UK and respondents were evenly drawn from the main age groups- 56 from elfin groups, 62 from pioneer groups, 70 from venturer groups and 24 from District Fellows.  This spread of responses across the age ranges and geographically has ensured a good snapshot of Woodcraft Folk as an organisation. A report has now been compiled that explores the results and is attached for reference

In short when asked about the importance of both camping and outdoor activities 70% said camping was either all important or very important, and 68% said the same of outdoor activities. Clearly then the Woodcraft Folk continues to be an outdoor orientated organisation, despite recent suggestions that we are moving away from this focus.
