£10,000 For Local Work!Published on Monday June 22 2009At Annual Gathering 2009, the General Secretary launched the Local Grants Scheme for Big PLan work. Funded by part of the legacy from Bob Norris, General Council is dedicating £10,000 in grants of up to £500 per district for work that feeds directly into one of the Big Plan Ambitions. Danny Rowe, Chair of General Council comments, "This is a great way for local groups and districts to fund small pieces of work that can make a big difference to them locally and also to the Big Plan nationally." The simple two-side application form is attached below. Districts should read it carefully and be sure to submit it by the deadline. If anyone has any questions, please get in touch with Kirsty Palmer, General Secretary for more details. An additional £10,000 from Bob Norris's legacy remains unallocated. If you have any ideas for how it can best be used, please get in touch with the office or any member of General Council - all suggestions gratefully received!
