Vcamp 2010 - The Seeds Are Planted

In a cold weekend in October 30 Venturers, DFs and Adults gathered to review and then start the next planning for Venturer Camps.

Young People at the meeting (which was open to all members) decided that the theme should be based around the "Future" looking at how we change the world.

The Future - fashioning a new world will become an overarching theme for the camp. The meeting discussed how the camp should be structured and what should be there. The suggestions will be presented to the Woodcraft General Council in the middle of October for final approval.

"We a planning the seeds for success" said Lloyd Russell-Moyle, the VCamp08 treasurer, "because this camp is only in two years time, we have a one-off opportunity to get Venturers who have been before to get involved with the day-to-day running of the camp, building a world that they want"

"It's exciting, starting a process that will lead to around 1000 strong camp, with such a forward thinking theme proposal, I'm already excited" Lloyd exclaimed.
