Edinburgh Venturer In 2020 Vision Conference

Emily Hutchison from Edinburgh District is speaking on behalf of the Woodcraft Folk at a major conference in Edinburgh this Friday, 5th November.

The Edinburgh Conference (http://www.theedinburghconference.edin.org) is bringing together people from a range of profesional backgrounds to consider the issues Scotland faces as a nation and to develop views that can be presented to the Minister for Education and Young people about how Scotland can move forward with purpose to meet the challenges that 2020 shall bring. Emily is one of four young people who have been asked to present their views.

Emily was one of the delegates in the United Nations Association 'Your Wake Up Call' delegation to the Johannesburg Summit in 2002 and in her speech on Friday shall be highlighting the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa and Scotland's poor record on sustainabilty.
