Funding

Every Woodcraft Folk group needs funding of some sort or other to cover venue hire, activity costs, training, publicity, equipment, recruitment, camps and special events.

Currently many Woodcraft Folk groups seek funding from their local Co-op, Awards for All or local charitable trusts. Other opportunities include:

Youth Capital & Youth Opportunities Fund
Central Government funding, available from your local authority, with the aim of developing activities for young people. All grant making decisions are made by young people and all applications must be youth led. Each local authority has developed local criteria, guidelines and application processes.

Youth Music
Grants between £5,000 and £30,000 to involve children and young people in music making activity.

Other larger Trusts with an interest in children and young people:

Tudor Trust
Children in Need
Lloyds TSB Foundation
Esmee Fairbairn
