Just found this site and its brought back really good memories. I loved the camping and Youth Hostels. Was in the Woodcraft back in the early 70's in Exeter, Whipton and Heavitree. Glad to see it's still going strong. Wish there had been one in North Devon while my kids were growing up they would have loved it.

Have just come across a link leading to the Edinburgh woodcraft folk 'power pod' initiative and want to congratulate everyone involved in 'pulling it together' . What a fantastic way to get the children and young people on board and cant wait to see it in action at our local primary.

I joined Ealing woodcraft as a child, although very shy. I loved it and have many happy memories. as a adult when i was in between jobs I joined Ealing, Tooting and Wimbledon as a helper. I was helping at 7 groups in a week but I loved it. I will always remember my days as happy ones and loved the camps, I am a very caring person. I never did have kids but i work with People with learning difficulties which I love. I still have a old tatty t-shirt I wear it's falling apart but I love it. I used to love going to Cudham and Lurgashall camps, hope to be part of a group again someday but at the moment busy doing two jobs!

Loved being part of Mitcham Woodcraft Folk from elfins up to leader. Living in Ireland now with 3 children and there is no Woodcraft Folk here which is real sad as I would love my kids to go and love to be part of it again with them! Still fondly remember one of my old leaders Peter Cable RIP. He was a great leader when I was a pioneer and of course caan not forget Bev, Tracey and Richard when I was an elfin and good old Graham Ruse as my venturer leader!!!!!
