Hamsterley Forest Outdoor Centre

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Hamsterley Forest in the northern Pennines, often described as England's last wilderness, this self-catering centre is ideally situated for outdoor activities of all kinds.

Accommodation is in five dormitories, together providing thirty beds. There are male and female toilets/washrooms, and the centre (which is single storey) has wheelchair access and facilities (including shower and wc) for people with disabilities.

There is full gas central heating making the centre warm and comfortable all the year round. The large kitchen is fully equipped, and there is also a washing machine and tumble drier.

Up to ten small tents may be pitched in the centre grounds (no large tents).
