Following additional funding from the National Voluntary Organisations in Scotland Fund, Woodcraft Folk are now looking to add to its online training resources by creating two new modules:

Goodbye to TREE

Tuesday, 1 April 2014

Woodcraft Folk’s TREE programme has reached the end of its funded period, after 5 years of useful resources, fun activities, diverse training and the active engagement of young leaders. The TREE programme engaged 4,360 young people in a wide range of activities including:

·         Action projects

·         Reporting

·         Right to Refuge campaign

Youth Participation Forever

The TREE programme, which ran from 2009 to 2014, supported young Woodies aged 10 - 18 to have their voices heard, to take on new roles and challenges, and to learn new skills such as communication, facilitation, decision-making and many forms of leadership.

Although funding for the work has currently finished, empowering young people is still very important in Woodcraft Folk. Here you can download a list of TREE's main messages for Woodcraft Folk - please read, remember and act on these!
